Be(coming) Perfect

From our series, "Sermon on the Mount." Central to Jesus' teaching in the Sermon on the Mount is the call for his disciples to "be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect." But what does perfection look like? While total submission to God is included in Jesus' definition, the idea of perfection in Jesus' day is more connected to wholeness and completeness than never making a mistake.
