Jesus Makes Us One

From our series "Ephesians." As we learn how the Gospel story transforms our stories, Paul makes the message personal for the Ephesian church. Jewish and non-Jewish Christians worshiped together, as one new family, but treating folks from different cultures as brothers and sisters is harder than it sounds–even though Christ has already united us on the cross through his blood. Sometimes, in our deeply broken world, this truth feels impossible to live out. Thankfully, we've been given the same Holy Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead. And He empowers us to be the peacemakers Jesus calls us to be. 

From Death to Life

From our series "Ephesians." We were dead in sin, but God made us alive in Christ, seating us above the evil powers that be and freeing us from our own disordered desires that lead us away from Him. In this new way of being, God calls us to follow the Good King Jesus by accepting the free gift of life and doing the good works God has called us to do. This is the life that satisfies, and its all because God loves us. 

Hope, Inheritance, and Power

From our series "Ephesians." Paul has heard about the Ephesian church's faith and great love for all God's people. This prompts him to pray that God's Spirit will open their eyes—as well as ours today—to the hope of our calling in Christ, our value to God as his inheritance, and our connection to his ultimate power. Reasons to Praise

From our series "Ephesians." Paul, an apostle of Jesus of Nazareth, writes a letter from prison to remind the churches in and around the ancient city of Ephesus how the Gospel story transforms our story. He begins his letter with a rich theological poem unpacking the interplay between God's gracious, saving work in Jesus and our newfound position, as believers, "in Christ." Like the church in Ephesus, we are left with a foundational security in God's good and loving plan towards us in Jesus, in whom God decided to adopt us as his beloved children and rescue us from sin and death before he even created the world. And this should prompt us to praise.

Make Disciples

Jesus calls all of his disciples, or followers, to make more disciples who follow Jesus and make disciples. It's the family mission. We do this by inviting the spiritually curious into our own spiritual journeys, bringing the gospel to those who have never heard it, and creating safe communities for new believers to mature and the spiritually weary to be healed. Simple Gospel

The Gospel, or good news, tells the story of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth. On Easter, we celebrate what this means for all who believe that God raised him from the dead: that in Jesus, God is with us in our human condition, making a way through our wandering and brokenness and overcoming even death so that we can be reunited with him forever. Nowhere is that more evident than in the cross and the empty tomb, yet as we study the overarching story of scripture, we find a God who has been with us all along.

Long Stories

We believe God heals the sick, raises the dead, and does the miraculous, and we ought to contend in faith to see his kingdom come in these ways through us here and now. But what about the times we don't see the miracle this side of heaven? How can we hold fast to God's promises when the unthinkable happens? Thankfully, Jesus shows us the way. Formational Family

In our soft launch series, "Family Values," we've been exploring the question: How do we measure success as disciples of Jesus? According to Jesus, the answer is by how well we love one another.
Christian love is only possible through shared life in a diverse community of deeply committed relationships rooted in mutual submission to Jesus that shapes our character and identity to be more like His. We call this formational family, and God calls this family church. But what does family do? Listen now to find out.

Joyful Obedience

Jesus said, "If you love me you will obey my teachings." This begins with denying ourselves, carrying our crosses daily, and following him. Yet Jesus also promises that in his presence is the fullness of joy. How do these two teachings fit together? Listen now to find out.

Everyone you will ever meet is seeking something that will satisfy the deep thirst and longing for intimacy, meaning, and purpose inside of them. Yet almost every cup we drink from leaves us empty or worse, thirstier than before. Thankfully, in Jesus, we have a cup that never runs dry.
